Movie Night
This will be a double feature in the Waterville Room. We will be showing "Emperor of the North", set during the Great Depression in the US, and the land is full of people who are now homeless. Those people, commonly called "hobos", are truly hated by Shack (Ernest Borgnine), a sadistical railway conductor who swore that no hobo will ride his train for free. Well, nobody but "A Number One" (Lee Marvin), who is ready to put his life at stake to become a local legend - as the first person who survived the trip on Shack's notorious train. For all of you who are part of the PCR Yahoo group, come out and see the consist of this train, as discussed by the group! Then we will be showing "Sacramento Northern", which depicts the local rail lines and is the subject of a clinic and the banquet guest speaker's address.
Back to QwikLinksDoor Prizes
We are soliciting door prizes from many of the fine manufacturers of model railroad equipment and publications. They have been generous in the past, and we anticipate some wonderful offerings for Iron Horse Express 2013. Each registrant will have a chance to win a door prize — you could be a WINNER!
We would also welcome donations of good, new kits, ready-to-run equipment, new (or in excellent condition) books, DVDs, or modeling tools from convention attendees. If you have some of these you find surplus to your interests, bring them along and donate them for door prizes. We'll find them a new home. Donations in all scales are welcome.
Back to QwikLinksSee you in Dublin!
