- Veterans Museum – SLO Veterans Memorial Building, 801 Grand Avenue, SLO. Hours: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (1000 to 1500 hrs) Wednesday through Saturday, Admission is free, donations are appreciated.
- San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden – 3450 Dairy Creek Road (on Highway 1 in El Chorro Regional Park, between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay). Open daily during daylight hours, admission is free.
- Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa – 751 Palm Street, SLO. (805) 781-8220. The Mission is located on the corner of Chorro and Monterey Streets. The parking lot entrance is off of Palm Street, in the back of the Church itself.
- Margarita Adventures – 22719 El Camino Real, Santa Margarita, CA 93453. (805) 438-3120. Closed: Tuesday and Wednesday. Get your adrenalin flowing on their zipline tours! Advance reservations required.
- Wine Tasting – The San Luis Obispo Wine Region produces award-winning wines that are known around the globe for quality, craftsmanship and distinctiveness.

Railroading
- San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum – 1940 Santa Barbara Avenue, SLO. Preserving the railroad history of California and the Central Coast by collecting, restoring and displaying artifacts as well as operating historic railroad equipment. Co-hosts for the Coast Rails 2014 PCR Convention.
- San Luis Obispo Model Railroad Association - Dedicated to promoting and educating the public and its members on railroading through the use of model trains.
- Bitter Creek Western Railroad - A privately-owned 7½-inch gauge railroad operated for the benefit of children of all ages who enjoy playing trains.

- The Ah Louis Store – Located at the corner of Palm and Chorro Streets, SLO. The store, founded in 1874 by Chinese pioneer Ah Louis, has been in continuous operation ever since.
