Awards Banquet

The Silver Rails 2010 Annual Awards Banquet will be held Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and is included in all registrations, except Youth Registrations and Day Fares. There will be a Social Hour from 6:00 to 7:00 PM for everyone to renew old friendships and make new ones.
Banquet Speaker
The evening's program will feature a presentation by Bob Larson, former Western Pacific engineer for over 40 years. While sitting in the right-hand seat of numerous WP locomotives, his camera never left his side. Because of his dedication to chronicling his travels, he amassed a very impressive slide collection of his adventures during his 4-plus decades on the rails.
Since his retirement in 1997, Bob has authored two books entitled “Western Pacific” and “Life on the Feather River Route.” He has guest lectured and shown his slide presentations at many train-related functions. During his slide show, Bob’s unique narrative style with his ingrained humor is entertaining by itself. You won’t want to miss his stories and his exciting presentation to be given at the Silver Rails 2010 Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday night of the convention. Be sure to join us. Banquet Meal Selections
This year's banquet offers your choice of three meal entrees:
- Herbed Entrecôte of Beef
- Chicken Wellington
- Poached Filet of Halibut
